Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1970. It was at the age of six that a tornado threatened his family’s home that Steve began what has been a lifelong obsession with the weather and severe storms. The Land of Opportunity also provided Steve with the chance to work in radio starting at the age of fifteen in his hometown of Magnolia, Arkansas.

Steve was formerly the Chief Meteorologist at WDAM Television in Hattiesburg and has spent years gaining valuable experience in severe storm meteorology and radar meteorology, both of which are the essence of weather coverage in South Mississippi.

Today, you’ll hear Steve’s voice all over the place: from radio stations in Los Angeles, California to Sydney, Australia; on commercials from pet care businesses to the military; and on documentaries about things from quantum mechanics to the Old West.

Steve and his wife, Susan, are the parents of three children and live in Orange Grove.
