Steelers DB Senquez Golson Visits Pascagoula High

Before Senquez Golson was ever an Ole Miss Rebel or a Pittsburgh Steeler, he was a Pascagoula Panther. Today, the hometown hero returned to his old stomping grounds as grand marshal of the homecoming parade.
The former All-American is only six years removed from his high school playing days, now in his second season with the Steelers.
Unfortunately for Golson, he’s still yet to see his first regular season snap in the NFL after being placed on injured reserve earlier this month for the second year in a row.
On the bright side, that’s the only reason he was able to make a trip back to his alma mater mid-season, although it’s not the injury to his foot that’s keeping him from suiting up tomorrow. “I might be getting ready to play tomorrow, you don’t know. I need me a birth certificate,” said Golson.
As a senior, Golson set the Ole Miss single season school record for interceptions with 10.
As for homecoming, Pascagoula will host Pearl River Central at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
