State runner-up Gautier Gators have two football stars sign to play college football on National Signing Day

Gautier football had an incredible season all the way to the state championship game in Hattiesburg earlier this year.

Although they fell short, they were able to accomplish so much in one season. Kainen Rush and Brayden Jackson were a large part as to why. They spoke on what today meant to them.

“What’s special about today is really how people come out here and join me on this special day,” Rush said. “It’s really a blessing. I’m glad and I thank God for putting me in the position that I am in and now go from there and keep God in my life.”

I’m really excited,” Jackson said. “It’s another opportunity for me to showcase what I can do on the field. I feel like it was the best fit for me. There was a lot of options but this noe felt natural and felt like home.”
