State Auditor Shad White files for re-election

State Auditor Shad White is the latest statewide elected official to file for re-election ahead of this year’s state elections.

The Republican was appointed to the job by Governor Phil Bryant in 2018 and elected to a full term in 2019.

Recently, White’s office has spearheaded the investigation into the misspending of welfare money in the Mississippi Department of Human Services. It is the largest public corruption case in state history.
