Standoff underway at Moss Point home

MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV)-Jackson County law enforcement agencies have spent much of the morning in a standoff with a suspect at a Moss Point home.

Details are still limited, but we do know crews with Moss Point police and the Jackson County SWAT team responded to the home on Howze Avenue.

Jackson County Chief Deputy Randy Muffley tells WXXV the standoff began sometime around 7 a.m. Friday morning.

According to the Moss Point School District, Magnolia Middle and Moss Point Hight School /CTE/ALC are on lockdown due to the standoff in the neighborhood.
