Stand off between armed man and Biloxi police ends
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)-A 19 hour standoff between a man and police at a Biloxi apartment complex has come to an end.
The man was taken into custody around 10 a.m. at the Oasis Apartments on Rodenburg Avenue.
A pregnant woman inside the apartment with the man was rescued safely before his arrest.
It all began late Thursday afternoon after a man with a gun was reported as erratic. That’s when the man barricaded himself inside an apartment and the standoff ensued.
SWAT teams from Harrison and Jackson County worked with Biloxi police throughout the night and early this morning at the scene.
The man’s identity has not yet been released, but we will continue to update you once we learn his identity and as new details come out.
