Staff steps up after 200 North Beach general manager injured in car accident
200 North Beach is showing their support for their general manager as he recovers from a car accident.
Michael D’Angelo was driving towards New Orleans on February 8th before losing control of the car and hitting a median.
He has two broken hips, a broken ankle, and a fracture to his c-spine. He is on the mend at a hospital in New Orleans, waiting to start physical therapy.
His dog, Lady, was traveling with him and when his boss, Jim MacPhaille, found out Lady had not been found, he went on a hunt to find her. Lady is now safe.
There are few things 200 North Beach wouldn’t do for their general manager. Drew Bienvenu with 200 North Beach said, “I think it’s important for the staff to step up for anyone. Obviously for Michael because he’s our leader, but it just brings out the best in people when people need help. I don’t think anybody has said ‘Well, we need to do this, this, and this.’ or written down a list. We just did it. Whatever it is, we’ll do it until Michael gets back.”
200 North Beach is planning to do something special to help Michael when they learn more about his needs. You can donate to his GoFundMe to help with medical expenses by clicking here.
