Stabbing on Mississippi State University campus

In Starkville, a suspect is in custody after a stabbing on the campus of Mississippi State yesterday.

The university says the stabbing happened in a parked vehicle near Herbert Hall just before 4 p.m.

The victim is a university employee who was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Campus operations returned to normal a few hours after the stabbing.
