St. Stanislaus wins the “Battle of the Bay” defeating Bay High 20-14!
Week Two takes us to Bay High school as the Tigers host the familiar foe and rival from just ten minutes away, the St. Stanislaus Rockachaws. The two aren’t just playing for their first win, but playing for the Crab Trap! SSC has had custody of it for the past three years, and the Tigers are looking to change exactly that.
This run-heavy game was intense from start to finish. Bay High quarterback Que Victor ran for three straight first downs, finished it with a tush push, and then ran a punt all the way back for 12 of the Tiger’s 14 points. St. Stanislaus quarterback Javien Thompson proved he can run too! He got the Rock’s in the red zone and sealed it with a five yard touchdown. The second touchdown was a 20 yard touchdown by Max Rhodes. Thompson’s 40 yard completed pass and Rhode’s one yard TD was the go ahead moment for SSC, winning this game 20-13.
Next Friday, Bay High will hit the road to Pearl River Central, while SSC loads the bus up to Moss Point high school.
