St. Patrick girls basketball standout Jasmyn Strobridge is taking her talents to the next level.
This afternoon, the senior point guard signed her letter of intent with East Georgia State College, located in Swainsboro, to continue her career on the hardwood for at least the next two years.
Strobridge made an immediate impact on the Lady Irish upon her arrival from Ocean Springs, leading the team with more than 21 points per game while averaging about ten rebounds and five assists.
The end result was an overall record of 16-11 for St. Patrick as well as a first-round playoff appearance.
Strobridge says the Bobcats reached out to her last month and the rest is history. “I always wanted to play at the next level ever since I was maybe seven. Like I always played basketball my whole life, so just one of the things I’ve really wanted to do, one of my goals. I’m just very excited. Kind of speechless a little bit, but very excited. It was a struggle but it got me here, so I’m very thankful for my parents and my coaches for pushing me through to this moment.”
Strobridge says she wants to major in science to one day became an occupational therapist.
