St. Martin’s Tony Mora puts pen to paper to further his basketball career at Southeastern Baptist College

One of the most exciting things we have the honor of reporting here at News 25 is when one of our Student Athletes signs to play at the next level, and we’re super proud of this Yellow Jacket!

Senior Guard Tony Mora made his name known on courts all across South Mississippi, but especially at St. Martin High School. He averaged 12.6 points per game and 35 goals from the three point line, which is tied for the second most scored in class 7A.

This past Friday, Mora put pen to paper with Southeastern Baptist College to further his basketball career.

When asked about what this moment means to him, Mora said, “Getting this opportunity means the world to me. For as long as I can remember, this has been a dream of mine. Southeastern Baptist truly made me feel like family and made me feel the most at home during my recruitment process which is what ultimately led to my decision. I’m very excited to get up there and get to work and help win some games!”

From all of us here at News 25, Congratulations and we wish you the best of luck as you continue your career!
