St. Martin sophomore at Home with Team Blake on The Voice
St. Martin’s Hailey Green made her second shot at “The Voice” count.
The 15-year-old sophomore belted out her version of Marc Broussard’s “Home” and won a spot on Blake Shelton’s team during Night Two of the Blind Auditions. Shelton turned at the last possible moment to grab Green.
“I’m excited to work with you,” Shelton said. “You’ve got cool hair — and welcome to Team Blake!”
Green initially auditioned two seasons ago but got no chair turns.
Green has been singing since she could talk and currently gigs in an adult band three times a week up and down the Gulf Coast.
Outside of school and music, Green is the only female on the St. Martin Yellow Jackets’ JV football team, where she plays as an outside linebacker.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on NBC.
