St. Martin Middle School Robotics Team headed to World Championship
St. Martin Middle School Robotics Team is headed to Vex Robotics World Championships.
Wyatt Kiefer and Conner Gill have put nearly 200 hours into building their robot. The two boys’ hard work paid off after their robot destroyed the competition at nationals, earning second place and qualifying for World Championships.
They will head to Dallas, Texas April 27th through the 29th to compete against teams from all over the world for the coveted first-place prize. Gill said, “It’d be a cool opportunity just to go even if we just get to meet the people. If we don’t make it to finals and eliminations that’s still okay, because we get to watch in the dome and figure out the game for next year. I’m proud of myself because not a lot of people get this opportunity. Not everybody can make it to worlds every year. It’s only so much of a chance that you get to go.”
Registration for the competition is $1,200. If you would like to help sponsors Wyatt or Connor, please reach out to David Kiefer at 228-243-0458.
