St. Martin man sentenced for 2023 murder in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A Jackson County man will spend four decades in prison after pleading guilty to a 2023 murder.
Twenty-two-year-old Quinton Biggs of St. Martin was arrested on July 20, 2023 for the shooting death of Raishon Frazier, who was shot multiple times in the parking lot of Red Roof Inn.
Investigators say Biggs and Frazier had a prior dispute and had arranged to meet at that location for a fight.
Surveillance video showed Biggs approach Frazier, who was unarmed, and shot him several times.
Because he was sentenced as a habitual offender, Biggs must serve the entire 40-year sentence without the possibility of parole.
