St. Martin High’s girls flag football team honored

Jackson County, Miss. (WXXV)- The St. Martin High School’s girls flag football team was honored at Monday’s Jackson County board meeting.

The team won the first Mississippi High School Athletic Association’s flag football championship. That game took place May 10th.

The board says they are proud how these young women represented not only St. Martin but all of Jackson County.

Officials also saying they’ve set the bar high and paved the way for future athletes in the sport.
