St. Joseph Hospice celebrates five-year anniversary

St. Joseph Hospice held a five-year anniversary celebration today.

The actual date of the anniversary was several months ago, but the celebration was delayed due to COVID.

The event began with a ribbon re-cutting as well as a re-blessing of the building to commemorate the five years of service.

The hospice then held a flag raising and a moment of silence for those killed during the 9/11 attacks. Balloons were released in the air to commemorate all who were lost that day. St. Joseph Hospice Administrator Mark Craston said, “We all from Mississippi, you know that work here and we love our state, the greatest state in the world. We’ve taken care of children from three weeks old and to adults to 102. You know, we try to do, we’ve done the best job that you can imagine. We have 13 private rooms here. When people walk through that door, they are our family and we are there family.”

The event hosted a buffet as well as an open bar available for all guests.
