St. Clare Seafood Festival brings community together despite rain

Waveland, Miss (WXXV)- The annual St. Clare Seafood Festival brought the Waveland community together to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. Despite the rainy weather, families and visitors filled the church grounds to enjoy the festivities.

Waveland knows how to have a good time, and the rain didn’t stop a thing as the community gathered for live music, a car show, carnival rides, local vendors, and plenty of seafood.

“I’m having a lot of fun here, especially because you can walk around and look at all the stands to see how much hard work people put into their craft. I had the most fun volunteering, helping with the Coke stand, serving drinks, and greeting new people.”

Beyond the food and entertainment, the event also served as a fundraiser to help St. Clare Church cover important needs, including a new paint job and future renovation projects.

“St. Clare Church promotes family unity. We’re growing, and we want to promote strength for our children in the community. It’s a great atmosphere  it brings everyone together and keeps St. Clare Church alive and functioning.”

The festival continues to grow each year, adding new attractions and building excitement for everything the Coast has to offer.

Mother Nature may have brought rain, but the smiles, turnout, and community spirit made this year’s St. Clare Seafood Festival a clear success.
