St. Andrews Park drainage project to begin May 15th
A local park in St. Martin is getting ready to see new renovations this month.
The St. Andrews Park Drainage Project will begin on Monday, April 15th to alleviate standing water in the park after rainfall and weather events.
It will take approximately 60 working days for the project to be completed.
While under construction, St. Andrews Park will still be open to the public.
Darcie Crew, the recreation director for Jackson County, says to be careful while using the park during the next few months. “There are pieces of equipment in the park or there is construction fencing. Please keep your children and your family members and friends out of those areas because we want to be able to continue to keep the park open for people to enjoy during the construction. We just want everybody to be safe.”
The project is funded by the Jackson County Board of Supervisors and the cost is just over $150,000.
