Sports betting on the national championship game

Whenever big games like the College Football National Championship Game come around, it’s only fitting to see how it will impact sportsbooks here on the Coast.

Director of Sports at the Scarlet Pearl Sportsbook Nico Sfanos tells News 25 he expects a packed house and a sea of Crimson Tide fans. “We want to create the atmosphere for them. They are going to come in. They are going to make a wager on the game. They are going to sit here, grab a bucket of shrimp, have a couple beers and enjoy the game. We already know what the deal is. The house is going to be rooting for Clemson. But for our people, our everyday guests, we will be happy to see them win if Alabama does come through for them.”

Sfanos tells News 25 the atmosphere in the Scarlet Pearl will not slow down since the Saints are trying to get to Atlanta to win their second Super Bowl.
