Spooky Springs at the Scary C: New Halloween event in Ocean Springs

As everyone’s schedules begin filling up with spooky events and activities happen throughout October, make sure to mark your calendars for Ocean Springs newest Halloween bash.

This year, the City of Ocean Springs will be hosting ‘Spooky Springs at the Scary C’ on Saturday, October 30th.

During the day, local businesses will be putting out candy for kids. At 5:30 p.m., the annual witches ride through downtown will commence, ending at the Mary C.

From 6 until 8, the Mary C will host a haunted house experience, costume contest, artist demos, and much more. Cynthia Dobbs with the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce said, “Ocean Springs is known for its festivals and all of our festivities and right now we are in festival season. So that started with Art Walk Labor Day Weekend. We have Cruisin the Coast. We have Peter Anderson. But we also celebrate Halloween. And this year we’re doing a cool collaboration and doing something really different. We’re doing a daylong of Halloween festivities from the business owners putting out candy for any of the kiddos that are dressed up.”

The event will be replacing the city’s annual Trick or Treat Down the Street. Traditional door to door trick or treating will be on the 31st.
