Speed limit changing on Jeff Davis Avenue in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)-Drivers in Long Beach will soon need to slow things down along a busy downtown roadway.
The city announced Wednesday a speed limit change on Jeff Davis Avenue.
The change goes into effect December 22. The speed limit will drop to 15 miles per hour. This is in effort to improve safety for pedestrians, shoppers, and drivers in the downtown district.
Drivers are urged to watch for new signage and adjust their speeds accordingly.
