Southern Miss running back accepts Senior Bowl invite

A player with ties to Mississippi and Alabama, Mobile native and Southern Miss running back Ito Smith added another game onto his collegiate career today.
USM’s all-time leader in total touchdowns and all-purpose yards has accepted his invitation to attend the 2018 Senior Bowl back in his home town of Mobile.
He’s the first Golden Eagle to get the nod since Jamie Collins in 2012 and just the third since 2003. For his career, Smith has more than four thousand rushing yards and upwards of one thousand receiving yards, making him one of only ten players in division 1 FBS history to accomplish that feat.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl will kick off from Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th.
