Southern Miss RHP named C-USA Pitcher/National Player of the Week

Southern Miss Pitcher Nick Sandlin has been tabbed for a pair of weekly awards, those being Conference USA Pitcher of the Week and Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week.

The junior right hander was a rock star on Friday, leading the Golden Eagles to a 12-1 victory over Rice. In the win, Sandlin had 13 strikeouts and allowed just two hits spanning across a career high eight innings.

It’s the second time in three weeks he’s won both honors.
