Southern Miss QB Ty Keyes entering transfer portal
The first big name recruit during Will Hall’s tenure as Southern Miss Head Football Coach, Quarterback Ty Keyes announced his decision to enter the transfer portal. He will have three years of eligibility left.
Formerly a four-star recruit out of Taylorsville, Keyes flipped from Tulane to USM after Hall landed the job in Hattiesburg.
He was seemingly a star in the making, but suffered a season-ending injury five weeks into his freshman year and another one four weeks into his sophomore year.
In the seven games Keyes did play, he threw for more than 600 yards and six touchdowns as well as another score on the ground.
Keyes joining Trey Lowe III as the second Golden Eagle QB to enter the transfer portal this off-season.
