Southern Miss Pro Day: Nick Mullens among NFL draft hopefuls

After leading Southern Miss to its first bowl game victory in five years, Nick Mullens immediately shifted his focus to preparing for the next level and getting a shot in the NFL.
Today he got to put all that hard work on display in front of a couple dozen scouts at USM’s Pro Day. He spent a lot of the winter training in Jackson with Michael Lewis, a former Saints fan favorite.
On top of that, Mullens says he’s been getting some pointers from Brett Favre, who certainly knows what it takes to get that call, coming from Southern Miss.
All in all, a good day for Mullens who got one last chance to make some memories at the Rock.
Mullens tells News 25 he’ll be visiting with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday and then going to the New Orleans Saints Local Day next week.
