Southern Miss names Blake Anderson head coach
The Southern Miss football team didn’t have to look far for their next head coach.
Blake Anderson has been named the 24th head coach of the program.
Anderson served as the Golden Eagles offensive coordinator this season and was already named the interim head coach for the team’s New Orleans Bowl appearance after former coach Charles Huff’s departure to Memphis last week.
Anderson has previous head coaching experience with stops at Utah State and Arkansas State and has a 74-53 record as a head coach.
He also served as an assistant coach with USM from 2008-2011.
