Southern Miss Lands Pair of JUCO Standouts
Southern Miss is on the receiving end of a pair of junior college standouts. They both signed with USM earlier today.
Trevor Terry and Delmond Landry are both joining the Black and Gold family from JUCO programs. Terry is a former standout from Long Beach who played his freshman year at JCJC.
Not a huge haul for the Golden Eagles, but as Head Coach Jay Hopson said at last week’s bowl social in Biloxi, it’s all about quality over quantity. “I’m really a high school guy by nature, but there’s certain spots where you feed into some JCs, but eventually you want to get to that to that place where you’re signing mainly high school guys and just signing that JC kid for specific needs.”
Terry is set to compete for the outside wide receiver position currently held by DJ Thompson.
