Southern Miss football falls to Texas State, 41-14
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WXXV) — Southern Miss saw its five game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, as the Golden Eagles fell to Texas State by a score of 41-14.
The Bobcats struck first with a field goal and continued to benefit from USM’s lackluster offensive play and turnovers. Texas State took a 27-0 lead into the locker room at halftime, and the deficit was just too much for the home team to overcome.
Southern Miss is now 7-3 on the year but still sits atop the Sun Belt Conference West Division standings with two regular season games remaining.
