Southern Miss establishing center for National Guard’s documents
The University of Southern Mississippi’s President Doctor Joe Paul signed an agreement with the National Guard Bureau to establish the Center for the Study of the National Guard.
The National Guard’s historical documents are currently all across the country, but this center will create a central space to store archival materials and oral histories.
It will also serve as a global resource for studying the National Guard’s past, present, and future.
The materials will be housed in the university’s Dale Center for the Study of War and Society on the Hattiesburg campus.
