Southern Miss Bowl Social

Less than a mile away from the University of Southern Mississippi sits a restaurant called Patio 44. What better venue than the new Biloxi location to kick off USM’s tour of bowl socials.
Admission was free for fans, minus the cost of food and drinks, for the chance to hear from Head Coach Jay Hopson prior to the New Orleans Bowl next Saturday.
The purpose of the event was to push ticket sales for USM’s trip to the Super Dome and to get the Black and Gold faithful just as excited as the players. “I think after the game their excitement was evident. I think our guys were doubly excited to go to New Orleans, but they were just excited when they reached bowl eligibility and had a pretty good feeling that they were heading for one more game. It’s just a real good testament to our seniors who came in and battled through a lot and are finishing with back-to-back bowl games,” said Hopson.
The next stop on the bowl social tour is set for tomorrow at Mugshots in Hattiesburg from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
