Southern Miss Baseball’s Tanner Hall named Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year

USM also landing three all-conference selections today, starting with first-team pitcher Tanner Hall plus first-team shortstop Dustin Dickerson as well as Danny Lynch named second-team third baseman.

If Friday was Scott Berry Day and Saturday was Danny Lynch Day then today must be Tanner Hall Day, starting with his selection as Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year.

The Friday Night Ace of the Southern Miss staff putting up All-American numbers once again in 2023, leading the conference with 11 wins, 88 innings pitched, and a 2.45 ERA, also pacing the Golden Eagles with 100 strikeouts, good for second in the league.

Other accolades today for the ‘Hall American,’ Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week for the third time, Perfect Game Pitcher of the Week, D1 Baseball Pitcher of the Week, and a Golden Spikes award semifinalist.

Hall also won of five finalists for the Boo Ferriss Trophy, which he won last year.
