Southern Miss alum traded to Baltimore Orioles
In other Golden Eagle news, former pitcher Cody Carroll was traded to the Baltimore Orioles today as one of three prospects dealt by the New York Yankees in a deal for closing pitcher Zach Britton.
The right-handed hurler has been at the Triple A level for the entire 2018 season, earning a spot in the International League All-Star Game earlier this month.
Carroll was a 22nd round selection of the Yankees in 2015 following his junior season.
