Southern Miss Ace Tanner Hall named First-Team All-American
Southern Miss pitcher Tanner Hall named First-Team All-American courtesy of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Yesterday, Hall became the first Golden Eagle to ever receive first teams honors in consecutive seasons, putting the exclamation point on a Hall of Fame USM career.
In 2023, the junior ace of the staff going 12-4 with a 2.48 ERA and 124 strikeouts in 112-and-a-third innings.
Those 12 wins tied for second most in a season in school history and his 302 career strikeouts tied for third all-time.
The Friday night starter is also the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year and Sun Belt Championship Most Outstanding Player and should be an early MLB draft pick next month.
Hall also named First-Team All-Region courtesy of the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings alongside fellow first-teamer Justin Storm who posted a 1.04 ERA in the post-season with 23 strikeouts across 17-and-a-third innings as well as second-team selection Slade Wilks who led USM with 20 home runs as a designated hitter.
