South Ms Child Dies Of Flu

The second confirmed Pediatric Flu death for the season in the state was a South Mississippi child.

The Mississippi Department of Health reported the death this morning.
The first confirmed pediatric death of the 2016-2017 flu seasons was reported in January in an individual from Central Mississippi.
Nationwide, up to 49-thousand people die and more than 200-thousand are hospitalized each year because of the flu.
Doctors say it’s not too late to get the flu shot.
