South Mississippi Schools Prepare for State Superintendent of Education to Visit

Two South Mississippi schools are expecting a special visitor this morning, Dr. Carey Wright, the State Superintendent of Education. Dr. Wright is scheduled to make a stop in the Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District later this morning, with another stop scheduled for early this afternoon in the Long Beach School District.

These are first two of eight visits Dr. Wright plans to make at South Mississippi school districts throughout the week that achieved an A-rating. Dr. Wright plans to make two more stops at these high achieving schools this week, on Thursday then Friday.

District leaders, school board members, teachers, students and community leaders will join Dr. Wright at each location.
