South Mississippi media figure Ricky Mathews to release new book
Longtime Sun Herald publisher and South Mississippi media figure Ricky Mathews is releasing a new book, 21 years to the day after Hurricane Katrina.
‘Finding Hope: 25 Lifelines for Life’s Storms’ draws on Mathews’ own experience surviving Katrina in Biloxi, along with stories of others who have overcome personal tragedy, addiction, and adversity.
Mathews says the book offers 25 practical lessons for people facing difficult times, with a focus on finding purpose and passing hope forward.
The book will be released August 29 with a portion of proceeds benefiting Hope Squad and Palmer Home for Children.
