South Mississippi community leader Karen Sock dies at 73

Tributes continue to come in following the loss of beloved South Mississippi community leader Karen Sock.

Sock spent much of her career in the gaming industry, including roles at the former Grand Casino in Gulfport, as well as Margaritaville.

Sock was also the founder of Sock enterprises, and co-founder of Pathways2Possibilites, the well-known career exploration program held each year in Biloxi for South Mississippi students. 

For her contributions to South Mississippi, Sock was also honored with the Pat Santucci Spirit of the Coast award this February. 

Karen Sock was 73-years-old
