Some Biloxi businesses eligible for new Community Facade Grant Program

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — Some businesses in Biloxi could be getting makeovers soon thanks to a Community Facade Grant with the Greater Biloxi Economic Development Foundation.

Businesses and property owners along the Pass Road and Division Street corridors might be eligible for the Greater Biloxi Economic Development Foundation’s new Community Facade Grant Program, which could give them up to $5,000 to go towards improving and upgrading the outside of their stores.

The grant program is in partnership with Mississippi Power and the City of Biloxi to improve these two areas that drive the city’s economy from neighborhood small businesses to large federal infrastructure investments, like the new Keesler Air Force Base main gate.

To be eligible for this grant, there are only a few requirements, and it will be available until the $40,000 raised for the program runs out. Another thing to note is the grant awards are up to 50% of approved facade renovation expenses, up to the maximum award of $5,000.

Visit the City of Biloxi website for additional information and to submit your application.
