Smokin’ the River City returns to Moss Point

Boaters with a competitive edge are ready to start their engines and take to the waters of the Escatawpa River this weekend.

Smokin’ the River City events were supposed to kick off today at an extra Friday on the River event, but weather in the area cancelled the events.

Despite this, boat races will still begin at 11 on Saturday.

Along with the action on the water, the Moss Point River Front will be hub for food and live music throughout the weekend.

Drag boat races in the River City run through Sunday.
