Smalls Sliders restaurant coming to Biloxi

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Biloxi will soon experience the hype of Smalls Sliders. The fast-growing cheeseburger slider brand hosted a celebratory can drop this morning.

The event celebrated Smalls Sliders’ expansion in Mississippi with its second location, owned and operated by Matt Gallagher and his sons, Matthew and Zack.

The family is eager to connect with the community and has also selected a local nonprofit organization as its Smalls Town Hero. Owner Matt Gallagher said, “So we’re excited to be a part of the Biloxi community here. 750 square foot building, we specialize in cheeseburger sliders, waffle fries and milkshakes. We try to keep things simple; we do one product and do it really well, we try to serve the best cheeseburger slider in the world. We’re looking to probably hire about 60 employees, we have a targeted date of early May and we’re just excited to be a part of this Biloxi community.”

Operating Partner Matthew Gallagher said, “Well, every time we open up a new Smalls, I get butterflies. I love opening up in a new community especially people that don’t know about Smalls. I think people fall in love with the simplicity of the brand. I say it all the time, people are going to like the food but they are going to come back for the people. The fact that we only serve cheeseburger sliders, waffle fries and milkshakes, people love the simplicity of the idea and of a very high-quality product. People fall in love with that very quickly, so I think Biloxi is absolutely going to love it.”

The Biloxi restaurant has a targeted opening date of early May.
