Sixteen-year-olds charged with armed robbery in Jackson County
Two 16-year-old teens are charged as adults with armed robbery and are jailed in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.
Sheriff Mike Ezell says Brandon Tanner and Trenton Nicholson were both armed with handguns when they held up a man Thursday, July 16th. The robbery occurred at the intersection of Stacey and Jean Street in the Virginia City neighborhood of Latimer.
Tanner is from Biloxi and Nicholson is from Vancleave. Sheriff Ezell says both were arrested late Thursday afternoon at Tanner’s residence where the two handguns were also recovered.
Sheriff Ezell says one of the guns was reported stolen from Pearl River County. The sheriff says Nicholson had the gun and is charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
