Grant Me Hope: Sisters Kaylee and Carlee, ages 12 and 6, hoping to be adopted

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — Every Monday, WXXV features children from Mississippi hoping to get adopted.

Today you will meet Kaylee and Carlee, a 12-year-old and a 6-year-old.

We caught up with the sisters at Jones Park in Gulfport. Here’s what they had to say:

Kaylee:Hi my name is Kaylee and I am in 7th grade, and I am 12 years old.  This is my sister Carlee.  She is 6 years old and she’s going to 1st grade.  We stick together, play games together, watch T.V. together, play with toys together, sometimes.

Something very hard that I helped with my sister, was to help her rider a bike.  I like to play sports with my friends.  My favorite sports are basketball, football, soccer ball and baseball because it’s fun to play with friends and get to know new people.

Carlee: I like to play toys with my friends.  I want to be a doctor.  I want to help people.
Kaylee: I want to be a photographer because it’s great to take pictures of things and nature and look at the features of them.

Carlee:I would be so happy if I were adopted.
Kaylee:To me adoption means someone who is going to keep you safe from now on, permanently.”

Kaylee: If someone were to adopt me I would want them to know that I still love my parents.  That’s really important to me.  Family means a lot to me, it means happiness, you can have joy and peace and when you’re going through bad times there’s always someone there to help you.
