Singing River Hospice of Light ribbon cutting in Lucedale

Singing River Hospice of Light is celebrating 30 years of service, but that’s not the only thing they are celebrating!

The grand opening of the Hospice of Light’s new location in Lucedale was today.

The original building in George County suffered some fire damage with the new location moving to Mills Street.

Families and friends of former patients were invited to attend the milestone.

The community was also invited to meet the team, enjoy refreshments, win door prizes, and tour the newest office. Hospice of Light Admin Rachel Ward said, “We strive daily to provide quality care, our nurses, our aides, chaplains, social workers. From the top to the bottom, we are going to take care of you like it’s our own family member. And so, I really feel like that works in our best interest. This is just an opportunity to show the community that we’re back. We’re better than ever and we’re ready to be here for the community in any way possible.”
