Singing River holds health fair for Moss Point residents impacted by tornado

A health fair in Moss Point helped residents get much needed medical assistance.

The community health fair, organized by Singing River Health System, is an initiative aimed to address the immediate and long-term health needs of individuals and families affected by the recent tornado.

Medical screenings, prescription services, and healthcare professionals were on site assessing and addressing any health concerns that may have arisen since the tornado hit. Dr. Tika Washington said, “When this happened to Moss Point, this just became the perfect time for us to give back. So, this was something we decided quickly. We had a meeting about it and said let’s do it quickly. We don’t want the people waiting on this type of service.”

Dr. Washington wants the City of Moss Point to know that the community is supporting and praying for those affected by the tornado.
