Singing River Health System teams up with the Blood Center for donation drives

Singing River Health System is hosting a series of blood drives this month in partnership with the Blood Center.

The drives take place at Singing River Hospitals in Ocean Springs, Gulfport, and Pascagoula, as healthcare providers continue to address the nationwide blood shortage.

Donations stay local, helping provide blood products for surgeries, trauma care, cancer treatment, and other critical medical needs.

All donors receive a free t-shirt featuring a limited time design by New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne, while supplies last.

The remaining blood drives are Thursday in Gulfport and Friday in Pascagoula from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Blood Center Donor and Recruiter Rep. Julie Smith said, “This week is our Singing River Health blood drives. On Thursday, we’ll be at Gulfport Singing River from 7 to 3 and on Friday we’ll be at Pascagoula Hospital from 7 to 3. This is our week; we need the blood. We are in a national blood shortage. It’s not just in our area. It’s a national blood shortage. So, we need you to step up and come out and donate.”
