Singing River Health System launches Spring 2026 Nursing Residency Cohort

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- Singing River Health System welcomed nearly 40 new nurse residents as part of its Spring 2026 Nursing Residency Cohort.

The program serves as a one-year bridge from nursing school to real-world practice, helping first-year nurses strengthen their clinical skills.

Through hands-on simulation labs and mock scenarios, residents build confidence in a safe environment before stepping into their duties as nurses.

Experienced nurses are providing mentorship along the way, guiding this cohort through nursing specialties ranging from emergency and ICU to labor and delivery and medical-surgical care.

By the end of the year, these nurses are set to complete advanced certifications and continue growing within the health system, strengthening care for patients across the Coast.
