Singing River Health System Invites the Community to Hear Emma Benoit’s Journey of Hope and Healing
Pascagoula, Miss – Singing River Health System invites the community to attend Emma Benoit’s Journey of Hope and Healing, a motivational event aimed at inspiring attendees and raising awareness about mental health challenges.
The event will take place on Tuesday, March 11, at the Pascagoula High School Performing Arts Center, located at 2104 Tucker Avenue, Pascagoula. The program will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m., so we encourage attendees to be seated by 5:50 p.m.
The keynote speaker, Emma Benoit, is a motivational speaker who turned her struggles into a mission to help others. In 2017, the summer before her senior year of high school, Emma survived a suicide attempt that left her paralyzed due to a spinal cord injury. At the time, she was a popular varsity cheerleader with a supportive family and friends but was silently battling depression and anxiety. Her journey to recovery has been marked by faith, resilience, and a purpose-driven mission to inspire hope and promote mental health awareness.
“At Singing River, we strive to advocate for mental health awareness and foster a culture of compassion and understanding,” said Community Relations Director, Melissa Schnoor. “Emma’s story reminds us that mental health challenges can affect anyone, but with support and openness, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who are struggling.”
Attendees can register at SingingRiverHealthSystem.com/event/emma. Media partners are also encouraged to attend. To confirm attendance, contact Ashley Butsch, public relations manager, at 228-697-6998 or by email at Ashley.Butsch@mysrhs.com.
