Singing River Health System hosts annual Stroke Care Symposium
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The 14th annual Singing River Stroke Care Symposium sold out and filled the Golden Nugget ball Friday morning, highlighting the importance of stroke education.
Health care professionals from across the Gulf South gathered for a day of training and collaboration, focused on improving stroke care.
Sessions covered everything from emergency response and treatment advancements to rehabilitation techniques and patient support, along with remarks from a stroke survivor.
Organizers say continued growth in the fields of stroke education and heart health is crucial for the years to come.
Efforts to further educate health providers and reduce stroke risks are expected to continue well beyond Friday’s event.
