Singing River Health System honoring Earth Day with a team clean up event

In honor of Earth Day, employees at Singing River locations across the Coast are taking a break outside to pick up trash they see along their facilities.

On Thursday morning at the Ocean Springs Hospital, about 20 staff members enjoyed the crisp spring weather as they ‘team up to clean up,’ assisting their groundskeepers and environmental services team.

Guest Relations Executive Director Timothy West says that this is pretty much a daily thing for their workers as they strive to keep the facility clean for patients and guests. “It’s very difficult to find a large amount of trash here on the campus. We take a lot of pride in keeping our facility bright and clean. Not only is this a great opportunity to team up to clean up, but support our core value number six which is team work always wins.”

Singing River Health System also wants to help you help the environment by dropping off your unused prescriptions to them during National Take Back Day on Saturday.
