Singing River Health System distributing vaccines at the Jackson County Fairgrounds

Singing River Health Systems held their second vaccination drive at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Pascagoula.

The Singing River staff provided lollipops and the Pfizer vaccine to senior citizens 75 years and older receiving the shot.

They were determined to make the process move as swiftly as possible for the over 1,500 scheduled appointments Tuesday.

Lakeisha Hardimon is a daughter bringing her mother and tells News 25 the 15-minute wait after the shot for side effects was longer than the actual vaccine drive-thru and she hopes that everyone that can gets the shot. “I understand the fear everyone has and I was kind of hesitant about her getting hers the way they said some reactions were, but you won’t know unless you get it. That’s just a chance that you gotta pray and hope for the best and everyone needs to get it done.”
